Abstract

Abstract The design and development of the 3-component force sensor has been proposed for particular installation onto the 3-axis mini CNC milling machine. The system is combined with 3 beam type load cells which has one measured direction, properly laid on each axis in order for detecting and measuring in x, y and z directions, respectively. The Arduino board with load cell amplifier (HX711 board) is used to demonstrate the graphical and numerical results of cutting force signals via proper programing on Arduino software. The key finding results reveal that the accurate range of measurements should be 120-190 N.
