Design and development of a smart electric trike with detachable handle for differently abled

Abstract

In this fast-growing world, the biggest concern would be “slow in pace” or “immobility”. Its blessed enough to have at least legs as the medium of movement but it’s not the case for everyone. We really have no idea about how tough is for physical challenged or old people to move from one place to another. They continuously need assistance for them to move from point A to point. And there’s no probability that there would surely be someone along all time and in case of emergencies it is even more alarming! Many engineers and companies have come up with different solutions of motorized wheel chair or motorized quad cycles so that one can move from one place to another many designs and iteration have come along the way but it comes with its own set of demerits. This paper presents about the design and development of a smart chair which will provide the mobility to uplift the living standards of the people. A model of chair has been developed with smart technical advancements and improvements to enhance the maneuvering tasks compared to conventional models.
