Abstract

Nowadays, there is an increasing demand for water supply by humanity. However, a lot of people may not have enough drinking water to satisfy their daily needs. Because of the radical change recognized by the modern world, one of the possible solutions to this problem is desalination; treating seawater to make it drinkable and usable in the industry and in all human daily uses. However, removing salt from seawater requires more advanced techniques than used in traditional methods; pumping water from rivers or wells. In Morocco, the virtue of its territory position that has a tremendous water sources (sea water) and high level of solar energy radiation that is excellent in vast areas allow us to exploit them to turn Seawater into freshwater through using natural renewable energies (see Table 1, Figs. 7 and Fig. 8). In this context the mentioned technique is considered one of the most effective technologies and most robust systems which is less costing to convert seawater into fresh water for different uses. The aim of this work is essentially to realize and study a concentrator solar parabolic system. The main objectives are: modulating and interpreting the results of the performance of this system followed by simulation..
