Abstract

A model order reduction technique is employed to design novel digital differentiators. The new mapping technique from s domain to z domain conversion is investigated in this paper. The differentiators under consideration are second order one viz. Simpsons and Tick differentiators. The novel transfer functions obtained by the model order reduction technique can be used in many signal processing, Image processing applications. As an example, edge detection application is illustrated.
