Abstract

The State Polytechnic of Malang has a prototype of hybrid power plant, which consists of one unit of wind power plant and one unit of solar power plant. To monitor the electrical parameters in the generation system, it is necessary to have an electrical measurement system and a load control system. In order for the measurement and controlling the load to be carried out effectively and efficiently, in terms of time and accuracy, a system that can be operated remotely is needed. The aim of this research includes designing and creating a remote load measurement and control system on a hybrid power plant prototype (wind power and solar power), where monitoring and controlling of the hybrid power plant prototype can be carried out remotely, through a computer as well as android phones. In addition, the retrieval of the required electrical parameter data will also be faster, more effective and can reduce errors in reading electrical parameters. The results show that the error percentage of readings are 2.26% for voltage measurement and 2.9% for current measurement with the data transmission delay of approximately 2-3 seconds.
