Abstract

The Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUV) That’s has been developed on the Center for Unmanned System Studies (CentrUMS)- Institut teknologi Bandung have maximum operating depth until 3000 meter salt water. This requirement makes some specific construction and material that’s still survive until this environment. This vehicle will be equipped by several payload sensors. With this some requirement, the drybox of this hull must have modularity concept to accommodate all of this sensors and payload configuration and also have a huge strength to resist and survive with 3000 meters hydrostatic load. This papers will be presents about the design method for modular composites hull for hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. The step by step method to design this modular composites drybox hull will be described on this paper discussion. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for strength analysis material have used to design and estimate composition each layer of composites structure.
