Abstract
A Novel S-band Antenna for Synthetic aperture radar for Satellite application has been designed, fabricated, and validated. The objective of this project is to design an antenna working at 2.4GHz frequency for SAR. The features of microstrip antenna are small in size, light in weight, low cost, compatible to rigid surface, microstrip antennas are low profile antennas. In the first, we have designed a single patch Microstrip Antenna. And we have simulated its results and related graphical representations. After that we have designed a 2×1 square patch microstrip antenna array and after that 2×2 square patch microstrip antenna array. In this project gain of 11.4db is achieved with 2×2 patch antenna array In this project, the antenna structure is designed, simulated and validated using HFSS 15.0 software.
