Design aid based on concurrent processing of design tasks

Abstract

The authors propose a concept of intelligent design observer that watches designer's modeling process all the time and gives the designer appropriate information from the viewpoints of qualities such as reliability through the modeling. A method, which is essential for this concept, is proposed to realize the concurrent processing of the product modeling and the model-applying-tasks that examine the qualities of design objects.
