Amastegh, Vahe Hayk, Benjamin Nurikyan, Hakob Asaturyan, Aram Haykaz, Andranik Andreasyan, William Saroyan, Peter Suryan, Peter Najaryan, Jack Hashyan, Hakob Khachikyan, Levon-Zaven Surmelyan, David Khrdyan and others join the ranks of Armenian-American literature. Their life path was not easy. the remnants torn from their native places were subjected to a change in life, customs, friendly impulses, intellectual interests and worldview on foreign shores, which created a craving for a new society and a sharp polarization of reality among traditional and nationalist Armenians. Their efforts to preserve their national identity are invaluable. They put national self-consciousness, thinking, traditions and customs, language, historical memory, culture and mindset as the basis of national self-consciousness, image and personality.
