Abstract

Party Dress is a sewing technique and the finishing uses fine techniques and the materials used are quality materials. Party dress models are freer than everyday clothes, but are still within the boundaries of personality (Arifah A. Riyanto, 2000: 203). Occasion party clothing adapting motifs from rice and thatch using written batik techniques. The purpose of making this scientific work is to provide innovation in party clothing using written batik techniques. For readers, this scientific work is useful as a reference in the process of adapting a motif using batik techniques on party clothes. The method used in writing this scientific paper is Project Based Learning (PBL) or Problem Based Learning (PBM) with the following stages: determining the theme or source of ideas, knowing and studying natural visualization with figures of rice and grass motifs, making moodboards, making designs and product manufacturing.
