Abstract

ABSTRACT While biomedical paradigms may pathologize depression, there is much critical potential in disclosing the disposition as a more complex, material, and ecological entanglement. In this performance, I draw upon a method of collage to demonstrate how “plot holes” between critical autoethnography, visual art, poetry, and speculative theorizing help reflect my ecology of depression. Theoretically cohering the performance is geotrauma, which traces affective dispositions across deep time and space, rendering depression a condition of the cosmos.
