Abstract

Experimental dependences of the spectrum of nonlinearhigh-temperature superconductor responsesto an external ac magnetic field have been studied in relation toa sampleorientation with respect to ac and dc external magnetic fields. In contrast to the case of ceramics, even harmonics can be made to vanish in a single-crystal HTS atnonzero parallel field component by changing the perpendicularcomponent of the dc magnetic field. The H⊥ field necessary for this effect to occur is a linear function of appliedH∥, withthe dependence of the proportionality factor on the sample rotationangle in quantitative agreement with the theoretical modelproposed.
