Abstract

Barkhausen noise (BN) and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) experiments were conducted in the neutron irradiated commercial nuclear pressure vessel steel. The energy of BN decreased by neutron irradiation and the rates increased with increasing neutron dose. The resonance field and linewidth determined from FMR spectra increased with increasing neutron dose. The experimental results were explained as domain wall pinning of irradiation induced precipitates and change of anisotropy energy associated with neutron irradiation.
