Abstract
Findings concerning the role of water-borne fluoride in relation to the occurrence of mottled enamel (dental fluorosis), reduction of tooth decay (dental caries), delayed eruption of permanent teeth, and other physiological effects are reviewed. In particular, attention is drawn to clinical reports of allergy and chronic illness whose origin has been traced to fluoridated drinking water.
