Abstract
A density-functional theory for inhomogeneous superconductors at arbitrary temperature is described. The formalism leads to Kohn-Sham-type equations which are structurally similar to the Bogoliubovde Gennes equations but, in contrast to the latter, incorporate exchange and correlations effects.
