Abstract

Electron density fluctuations propagating poloidally in the Tokamak de Varennes are investigated using CO 2 laser scattering. During a series of reproducible ohmic discharges, a linear dispersion is observed for the large wave numbers probed ( kϱ i >3), indicating a propagation velocity of 3.0 × 10 4 cm/s.
