Abstract
The development of a reversible fuel and steam electrolysis cell based on an H 3O +β/β″ -Al 2O 3 solid electrolyte is described. The unit has been operated between 100 and 300°C at one atmosphere steam pressure. The major limitations are discussed with reference to the solid electrolyte and the method of electrode preparation.
