Abstract

ACADEMIC LIBRARIANS, as experienced World Wide Web (WWW) users, are well-positioned to demonstrate the benefits of using the Web to do scholarly research. College administrators and faculty may be skeptical about the usefulness of the Internet for academic research and reluctant to use the tool as a way to enhance their traditional methods of professional inquiry. As a means of addressing this problem, we prepared an introduction to the Web for an audience of the Chief Academic Officers at our University and include in this article the HTML code which readers can modify to meet local needs.
