Abstract
The purpose of the research article is to identify trends in the development and changes in the demonstrative consumption of Kazakh youth within the existing geopolitical instability, with the possibility of further sociological research to identify patterns and changes in the demonstrative consumption of society in the future. Theoretical research explored the issues of demonstrative consumption as a sociological phenomenon by analyzing current geopolitical conditions and trends, as well as the (historical) factors contributing to demonstrative consumption; empirical research consisted of a survey of Kazakh youth (students) with a sample of 1844 people and processing of the results.
