Abstract

The paper analyses the number, birth rate, mortality, and migration of the population during the observed chronological period. It also examines the evacuation and mobilisation of citizens in enterprises in the city of Gorky during the Great Patriotic War. The features of demographic processes in war and postwar times are outlined.
