Abstract

Abstract The paper presents measurements of the luminescence spectra of anthracene, anthraquinone and fluorenone following the IR multiple photon excitation of the ground electronic state molecules and the dependence both of the intensity and of decay rates of induced delayed luminescence on excitation energy and foreign gas pressure. The time evolution of a delayed luminescence pulse, its pressure and the laser energy density dependences prove to be similar to those of electronically excited molecules. It is on these grounds as well as on the known spectra, Luminescence under study is a scribed to electronically excited parent molccules .
