Abstract

The delay of both high and low priority packets in a discrete-time queue operating under a reservation discipline is studied. The delay distribution is obtained from which closed-form expressions for the mean, variance and the tail distribution are derived. In an example, performance is compared with that of Absolute Priority and FIFO.
