Abstract

AbstractDehydrogenation of glycerol for CO2 reduction can simultaneously produce lactic acid (LA) and formic acid (FA) products with high added value, greatly improving the atomic economy and the actual benefits. We report that Ru‐MACHO (regR) as a catalyst can satisfy the requirements of parallel reaction at the same time. The designed experiment confirms that under the conditions of 200 °C and 48 h, 3 mg Ru‐MACHO (regR) catalyst can obtain FA and LA yields of 40 % and 45 %, respectively. The possible reaction path of glycerol dehydrogenation for CO2 reduction is confirmed by the isotopic tracer technique and nuclear magnetic resonance analysis.
