Abstract

Abstract Degradation and failure time data are usually used in reliability, bioreliability, biology, and medical statistics to estimate the survival or the intensity functions. The degradation data are often a rich source of reliability information and offer many advantages over failure time data, when the aging process due to cumulated wear and tiredness is observed. Some statistical approaches to model the relationship between degradation and failure data are considered here.
