Abstract

The Tunkin geodynamic polygon is taken where the deformation tensor components approximately (10 −4) for the Earth's crust upper layers, along with the relative displacements of the blocks in the fault zone, have been determined based on the application of the theory of small deformations and on an experimental base of repeated geodetic measurements. A comparative analysis of the surface deformation, calculated by geodetic measurements with respect to the deep-seated deformations obtained from seismic foci mechanisms, is given.
