Abstract

A rest frame parton model of a proton composed solely of three fractionally charged, point Dirac quarks is applied to deep inelastic proton Compton scattering. The results, using an input completely determined from deep inelastic lepton-proton scattering, are considerably smaller than those of the experiment of Caldwellet al. Our results are similar to the standard parton model prediction of Bjorken and Paschos, although our model includes a number of nonscaling and parton binding effects not included in the standard parton model.
