Abstract

The use of a new time-delay operator is proposed for the purpose of investigating the decoupling and disturbance rejection control of linear time-varying systems with time delays in state and control variables (LTVSTD). The algebraic properties of the time-delay operator and its matrix are studied in detail to obtain a useful sufficient condition of decoupling and disturbance rejection control for the most general class of LTVSTD with arbitrary initial functions in state and control variables.
