Abstract

This paper presents a new method for decentralized computation of eigenvalues and eigen vectors. Using this method, it is possible to parallel computation of eigen system. A index to identify whether a eigenvalue of a subsystem is a local mode or a global modes is proposed. This caluculation is base upon new algorithm. In this algorithm a new concept is used for solving eigenvalues. This concept is that an eigen vector for approximate eigenvalue is obtained by using the distant between two poles in the complex plane. This technique is capable of picking up all eigenvalues in a system sequentially for system controls. Hence only required eigenvalue and eigenvectors for the system stability control within few cycles of iteration calculation can be obtained.
