Abstract

A review of the 67Ga decay data from various evaluations reveals uncertainty as to whether or not there is an electron-capture (EC) branch decaying directly to the ground state of 67Zn. Measurements made at NAC and elsewhere of the intensity of the conversion electrons from the 93 keV transition (extracted from the standardization of 67Ga by coincidence counting techniques), place a fairly stringent restriction on the decay scheme that suggests that the ground-state branch is nonzero. Decay parameter values are proposed that are consistent with available data. Analysis indicates an EC branching ratio to the ground state of (4.01±0.27)%.
