Abstract
The decay properties of61Cu produced by59Co (α, 2n) reaction is investigated with a 100 cc Ge(Li) detector. The present study confirms the presence of 215.5, 625.5, 947.3 and 1014.4 keV gamma transitions reported by Meyeret al. A new 117.5 keV gamma transition is also observed in the present studies. We found evidence for the existence of 701.1 and 2120 keV gamma transitions. There is no indication for the other new gamma-rays reported by Meyeret al. The rest of the decay scheme agrees with that of earlier investigations.
