Abstract

Transfer of excitation energy between acriflavine and erythrosin B in ethanol and glycerol:water has been studied at room temperature. Our findings suggest that the transfer takes place by hopping of excitation energy at low acceptor concentrations and is governed by Förster's mechanism at high acceptor concentrations.
