Abstract
Temporary Permanent Pacemaker (TPP) systems are semi-permanent devices with active fixation leads connected to an externalized battery. The TPP system is a treatment option prior to potential permanent Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) implantation that has proven to reduce infection, decrease hospital stay, lower lead dislodgement, while allowing for patient ambulation. Despite the advantage and growing utilization of TPP systems, there is lack of literature regarding patient care quality assurance (QA) to support healthcare providers.
