Abstract

With the increasing access of many distributed energy resources and renewable energy to the flexible DC distribution network, the complex control and high-frequency action of a large number of power electronic components bring danger to the safe and stable operation of the power system. The research on the operation stability of flexible DC distribution network with high proportion of power electronic devices is of great significance. In this paper, the DC side small signal impedance model of modular multilevel converter (MMC) considering AC and DC side impedance and sub module switching action and the DC side impedance simplified model of MMC which can ignore switching action at high frequency are established, and the MMC model under corresponding control mode is established in PSCAD simulation software to verify the accuracy of the impedance model.
