Abstract
Carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) are the two major effective radiative forcing factors of greenhouse gases. Surface and column concentrations are two types of observation but are often separated in field measurement. In this study, in-situ surface and column CO2 and CH4 concentrations, as well as meteorological parameters were measured simultaneously at a desert site in Dunhuang, west China. The dataset include:1) near-surface CO2 and CH4 concentrations, column dry mole fractions of CO2 (XCO2), CH4 (XCH4) and CO (XCO), 3) meteorological parameters including wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity, pressure, and temperature. The dataset observed in this study can be used as the validation or input data for satellite retrievals and model results.
