Abstract
The use of data mining is increasingly growing, however holistic literature reviews or bibliometric studies on data mining are rare. To the best of our knowledge any bibliometrics studies regarding literature production of data mining in health care have been made, yet. For our bibliometric study we designed a mixed method approach triangulating descriptive bibliometric analysis, bibliometric mapping and thematic analysis to determine most productive entities like countries and institutions and the most prolific research themes in the field of data mining in health care following in a form of a synthetic scoping review.
