Abstract

The design and implementation of a multichannel 12-bit data acquisition and control system for laboratory use is described. The system is provided with software capable of recording experimental data directly as a function of experimental parameters. Control logic, data acquisition, high- and low-speed D/A conversion and system software are discussed. The properties of the system were tested during spectroscopic measurements on metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) transistors in the far infrared region of the spectrum.
