Phytotax., Praha, 22: 171–178.—The newly described plant community of the associationJuncetum alpino-articulati subassblysmetosum compressi colonizes sandy alluvial deposits in the subriparian tier (at and below annual mean watermark) on the banks of the upper Biela Orava river in the north-western Slovakian Carpathian Mts. at the altitudes of 800 to 850 m. The high content of CaCO3 leached from the subsoil, is reflected in the species composition of the community which belongs to the orderTofieldietalia of the classScheuchzerio-Caricetea fuscae.
