Abstract

A description is given of the legal provisions of the Washing and Cleansing Agents Act of 1986, the Ordinance on the Maximum Amount of Phosphate in Washing Agents and the Ordinance on the Biodegradability of Surfactants. The objective of the foregoing provisions is to protect the aquatic environment from adverse effects caused by the use of washing and cleansing agents.
