Abstract

Sexual violence cases have increased every year. This study aims to dig deeper into the impact of sexual violence on young women in the learning process. This research is qualitative. Participants were determined by purposive sampling technique. The research participants were 4 people, namely the secretary of the Bukittinggi City Education Office, the principal, the counseling teacher, and the student council president. The in-depth interview technique was carried out using a recording device and a structured interview guide, as well as field notes. Data analysis used qualitative content analysis with a collaizi approach. Sexual violence of young women has a negative impact on the learning process, such as decreasing grades, psychologically disturbing adolescents, being lazy to go to school, and staying away from their friends. Teachers make various efforts to reduce the impact of sexual violence on young women, starting with approaching victims, carrying out spiritual activities, and entering counseling into subjects. Counseling activities are a form of conveying information about sexual violence against adolescents and its effects so that adolescents understand what preventive measures can be taken.
