Abstract

The studies of Teresa Serra and the “principle of humanism” defined by Brownlee highlight that the theories on civil disobedience of Henry David Thoreau and Hannah Arendt can’t currently be an exhaustive model through which to analyse the current protests in favour of social inclusion of migrant subjects present on European territory. Instead, these protests can be studied through a model of prosocial disobedience, understood as a new form of collective action, linked to questions related to solidarity and defence of human rights, aiming to make a positive social change of whole of civil society. The present work aims to highlight the change of forms of civil disobedience towards the new forms of social and prosocial disobedience, through the presentation of theoretical and application studies related to issues involved.
