Abstract
Bernell K. Stone is Mills B. Lane Professor of Banking and Finance at Georgia Institute of Technology. He has published extensively, including several articles in Financial Management, of which he has been an associate editor for several years. Robert A. Wood is Lecturer in Finance at The Pennsylvania State University. He was previously a member of the operations research group at Boise Cascade and of the managerial accounting staff at PPG Industries.
