Abstract

The intraurban mobility patterns of a sample of homeless individuals in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles is examined. Findings indicate that the voluntary mobility of homeless persons in the sample is related less to individual characteristics than to the availability and location of resources, particularly social supports.
