Abstract

<p>Partindo do ensaio “Dialética da malandragem” (1970), de Antonio Candido, que se detém no romance Memórias de um sargento de milícias (1854), de Manuel Antônio de Almeida, este texto procura observar prováveis linhas de coerência que podem fazer repercutir a figura do “malandro” da literatura ao cinema, mais precisamente considerando filmes de estrada brasileiros como Iracema, uma transa amazônica (Jorge Bodanzky e Orlando Senna, 1974), Bye bye Brasil (Carlos Diegues, 1979) e Deus é brasileiro (Carlos Diegues, 2003).</p>
