Abstract

There is confusion, even contradiction, in theological literature, as well as in written and oral preaching dedicated to Thomas Week (Antipasha), about the understanding of the encounter between the apostles Thomas and the Resurrected Christ. Our analysis of the New Testament texts Jn 20, 24-29 and the Triod service Antipashe should make a conclusion on this issue. In the review of the Church-slavonic and Greek texts, a special place in the research takes an analysis of certain expressions important for the lighting of our topic. Our goal is to explore the encounter, which is one of the most important events in the history of the testimony of faith in the Resurrection of Christ. The gospel text is open to the affirmative answer, and the Triod service gives an unequivocally confirmed answer.
