Abstract

On August 19 and 20, 2021, the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas and the Colegio de Michoacán, held a special edition in the framework of the bicentennial of the Central American Independence and the south of Mexico, the Central American Congress of History, for the first time and in a historic way, we were fortunate to have a table on the religious phenomenon, in which researchers from the region were invited to share through papers and panels, advances, completed research projects, graduate, master's and doctoral theses, in order to know the state of the art of religious studies in these 200 years since the proclamation of the Act of Independence in the Captaincy General of Guatemala. The same took place through a zoom platform, within the framework of the pandemic by covid 19, being transmitted by the social network Facebook.
