Abstract

(a) These methods cover the determination of sulfate ion in industrial water and industrial waste water. Three methods are given as follows: Sections Referee Method (Gravimetric Method) 5 to 11 Non-Referee Method A (Turbidimetric Method) 12 to 20 Non-Referee Method B (Volumetric Method) 21 to 31 (b) The Referee method is a primary measure of sulfate ion in all industrial water. The Non-referee methods are less time-consuming but often more liable to interference than the Referee method. They are particularly useful in the lower sulfate range, below 20 ppm SO4−−.
