Abstract
During early development of the teleost Brachydanio rerio , both furrow cleavage and vesicle cleavage were found in the same blastula. Furrow cleavage, characterized by an “in-pinching” of the plasma membrane with a fine deposit on the cytoplasmic side of the encroaching furrow, and vesicle cleavage, characterized by a row of vesicles across the plane of daughter cell separation, are found until one-third epiboly stage embryos, when only furrow cleavage was found.
