Abstract
Tifluadom, N-[5-(2-fluorophenyl)-2,3-dihydro-methyl-1H-1,4-benzodiazepine]-2-4-methyl-3-thiophene carboxamide, was determined by using a carbon-paste electrode modified with C18 μBondapak. Adsorption on the electrode served as a preconcentration step which improved the limit of detection. Preconcentration for 5 min (open circuit) gave a linear range of 2.2×10−7 M−4.5×10−6 M with a detection limit of 1.3×10−7 M (%C18=25, w/w) for Tifluadom in Britton-Robinson buffer pH 6. The determination of Tifluadom added to urine required no preliminary treatment; the detection limit was 1.3×10−6 M.
