Cyclic Permutation: Getting familiar with underlying Theories for appreciation of Content and Instruction

Abstract

<p>Cyclic permutation is hardly discussed in classrooms for general mathematics courses but researchers believe its application must be introduced even to non-math majors for content appreciation. This study intended to assess how familiar students are with the concept of cyclic permutation on the basis of the constructivist learning theory and the ADDIE model. In particular, learners’ attitude and cognitive levels were focused on through questionnaire and test scores. This investigation is a case study involving purposively chosen 48 students in Third Year Electronics Engineering of the University of the Immaculate Conception.
