Abstract

This paper addresses the deadlock control problem for rail-guided vehicles(RGV) system in the autonomous vehicle storage and retrieval systems (AVS/RS).To avoid the cycle-deadlock in RGV systems, a deadlock control modeling method based on colored timed Petri nets was proposed. In addition, a route digraph is built to detect cycle-deadlock in the AVS/RS with digraph tools. Moreover, deadlock-free control policies are proposed. Finally, a numerical example is given to validate the policy.
